Below is the final call for papers for the International Multilevel Conference, March 17-18. Closing data is February 7. In addition to the conference there is a 1 day course on multilevel analysis with R plus a 1 day quick introduction in R. These can all be booked together or separately.
The 8th International Amsterdam Multilevel Conference is held March 17-18, 2011. The conference will be about all aspects of statistical multilevel analysis: (innovative) applications, theory, software and methodology. Invited speakers are professors Bill Browne, Douglas Bates and Stephen West. We encourage applied researchers to submit applications of multilevel analysis.
The deadline for submission of your abstract is the 7th of February (2011)! You will be notified on the 14th of February if your abstract is accepted.
The conference is preceded by a one-day workshop on March 16 on "Multilevel analysis with R" that is taught by professor Douglas Bates (University of Wisconsin – Madison). This course requires basic knowledge of the R program. Those who are unfamiliar with this program are invited to attend a one-day course "Introduction to R" on March 15. This course is taught by Dr. Laurence Frank (Utrecht University).
The conference and courses will be in an informal style, with much room for discussion. They will be held in the Amsterdam ARISTO conference centre, which is close to the centre of the Amsterdam and easy to reach by public transport. The conference is sponsored by the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
